    Faulty some paint loss on bows Torm Bulker, Triang Minic ships. Ref FX31

    Alas some of our remaining stock of these Torm Bulkers have become faulty. Here is a another one. REF FX31.     Alas some of our remaining stock of these Torm Bulkers have become faulty. Here is a another one. REF FX33. For reasons unknown but probably due to the metal mix the hull has bent slightly but not a lot.     Some of these models have developed a fault over time and we have several of these where the hull has risen slightly towards its middle. Each of these tankers and bulkers has been taken out of its box, individually photoed and sat flat on the table (card sea as in the Triang Battle Fleet Sets.) These were made by the now defunct Triang Minic Company in 2012.  This is a model of a bulk carrier in the livery of China Steel. The casting is based on a 100,000+ deadweight ton Capesize Bulk Carrier, with a cargo capacity of approximately 110,000 cubic metres, similar to a series of ships built by Oshima Shipbuilding Co Ltd of Oshima, Japan and Imabari Shipbuilding Co Ltd of Saijo, Japan. The model is marked on the underside with the Tri-ang Minic logo, "Modern Edition", model number P 640 and the description Bulk Carrier. This model code number is P641.     This is the Tri-ang Minic Ships model of a bulk carrier in the livery of China Steel Express of Taiwan who operate a fleet of 15 Capesize Bulk Carriers transporting coal and iron ore for its parent company China Steel Corporation. The casting is based on a 100,000+ deadweight ton Capesize Bulk Carrier, with a cargo capacity of approximately 110,000 cubic metres, similar to a series of ships built by Oshima Shipbuilding Co Ltd of Oshima, Japan and Imabari Shipbuilding Co Ltd of Saijo, Japan. The model is marked on the underside with the Tri-ang Minic logo, "Modern Edition", model number P 641 and the description Bulk Carrier. The cargo ship in the famous Blue Star Lines livery Full size Speed 20knots, tonnage 13388 deadweight, length 564ft/172metres, beam 76ft/23metres, draught 26ft/8metres. There are nine derricks, Triang Minic code is P615. About 5 inches long. or 14cms in new money.

  • Triang Minic Ships  first series, the 50s/60s from the White Funnel Line. This is called the Britannia and has a red funnel. they used to sail the Bristol Channel between South Wales and North Devon and Somerset seaside towns. One of three made by Triang, Length is about 3 inches or 85mms. Condition is playworn. Good except on the port side where there is a small amount of bare metal as per the main photo. Triang code M 728. Our ref L41
