HMS Conqueror was a Churchill class nuclear submarine which served in the Navy from 1971 to 1990. She was built at Birkenhead and was the third submarine of her class, following on from the earlier Churchill and Courageous. They were designed to face the threat at sea of the Soviet Union by attacking other ships and submarines, and spying on Soviet nuclear-armed submarine movements. Length 87m 285ft Beam 10m 33ft Displacement 4900 tonnes. Crew 103 Top speed 28knots. The model is new and unboxed and will be wrapped in a jiffy bag. It is about 70mm or 2.5 inches in length.
