Hi and welcome to CN Collectables website for Triang Minic Ships, Mountford Model Ships and other toys, books, diecasts, heritage transport magazines and paraphernalia.
The photos are still a bit fuzzy but they are fine within the listings and articles. Now one of the two latest ferries.
Just had some more Spirit of Free Enterprise and Sir David Attenborough. Also arrived this week are The Pride of Bruges in P & O and Oleander in Trans Europe livery which are both lovely models.
The HMS Prince of Wales and Queen Elizabeth are at the painting stage. They will be 74.95 so if you want to place a pre order then let us know. No money taken until in stock. Now expected sometime in August. Expect the POW as a totally new model to sell out very quickly as there will only be 20 in the first batch.
We have a load of type 45s that are faulty in some way so some of those have been listed this week and lots of old Triang too. Lots to do.
Just about still in stock is the new model in metal of RFA Sir Galahad. The Dry Dock has sold out but we did have the Provisioning Dock and the Refinery Dockside items delivered.
Orders are working well and usually turned around in a few days. We tend to visit the Post Office at least twice a week. any queries or worries please use clyvzemail at btinternet dot com for queries and follow ups and chat. Recent sales mean that quite a lot of old ships and accessories are out of stock. So its time for more photos and listing.
We love model buses, railways and all forms of transport so a lot of Diecast models have been recently added to the site. There are a load of heritage transport magazines added too.
We are well into our role of being sole distributors to trade and retail of 1250 scale Mountford and XAS models. A list of new Mountford models planned and their status is posted in the Library as are Missives 2 to 5.
The River class patrol boats are cast and there are a load of new submarines being cast and apinted for release probably August.
The June Newsletter escaped too.
Kits are discontinued and full hull submarines are unlikely to be remade unless enough of you request them. So those listed here are the only ones around. The priority for Mountford is to make new models and keep supplies of the recent releases. What we list is what we have; here and covering the other sites on which we list.
If you are very keen on a non available Mountford model please email us and we will add you to the list. The bigger the list the sooner that ship goes on the to be remade programme. We need at least 10 firm orders.
Old and used Triang items we use three categories mint/good, playworn/reasonable and tatty for restoration ie for TLC. Trying to get more old triang harbour items listed.
You are welcome to look around and then if you want to make a purchase please register and off you go.
Triang stocks reduced significantly in 2018.
Sometimes we are able to acquire out of stock ships on the secondary market, ie from other collectors or shops. Stocks are diminishing. The Library section is where previous newsletters and articles on Triang Ships are stored. The most recent one in the library is the June 2019 newsletter.
Mountford Missives are newsletters purely devoted to the Mountford range. There is a busy programme ahead and we will try and circulate these to all who purchase a Mountford Model. These are also in the library.
We have used stock of most of the popular harbour accessories such as quay straights, breakwaters, warehouses, oil tanks, customs sheds and cranes. There are 2 categories really; used and very used. If what you want isn’t listed then please email. Time to list is always at a premium. We also have some hardly used items.
We only list an item on one of our sites and give it a unique code number. You will find many items which are only on this site. From time to time there are some special offers. There are also a good range of old ships. One of our specialities is the Tender Loving Care category which is for repaint and restoration. Triang ships are amazingly tough. Another category is the 2019 Sale which is a selection of mostly Navy ships with slight faults, usually the printing. I think that the manufacturing process prints the decal and then the bubble almost at the same time so sometimes the ink doesn’t quite dry or the print doesn’t quite take. It’s reasonable to suppose that the other sides are fine.
Sorry that the first photo you see isnt the clearest. Oh the joys of technology. They are clear on the rest of the site though.
Sometimes the emails don’t seem to work, if you don’t receive a confirmatory mail of purchase or of despatch please let us know. Equally if your order doesn’t work or you don’t get an answer please email directly on firstname.lastname@example.org. Large overseas orders which need a courier service need to be emailed to us directly.
CN Collectables on Ebay is now into its 19th year now and continues because it is so easy to use in almost every part of the world. We have had customers in 76 countries plus BFPO,AFPO, Britannia Naval College and several ships including the much lamented HMS Illustrious. We had news this month that the Groovycart service is being closed by the designers as technology has moved on since it began. This site is just starting its fourth year.
There is no news on any further Triang releases but we can confirm that Charles was alive and well and we had a long conversation in November 2017 but silence ever since. regrettably the TMS website disappeared recently.
