We hope that you enjoyed some holidays recently despite the funny weather. As promised when we have some news we send a newsletter, and here’s a jam-packed one!
We have recently listed over thirty new Mountford items, many of which are unlikely to be made again in the near future, and others that are brand new releases. A great example is HMS Centaur – a model of the light carrier that was designed in the war, launched in the late 40s, and operated throughout the 50s and 60s.
We also have some full-hull submarines and a metal unpainted stand for them. Other listings include some diecast vehicles by Corgi, EFE and Yesteryear, and also some Heritage Railway magazines.
We are delighted that the Gloucester and Warwickshire Railway have now extended their line to a brand new station at Broadway which is perfect for the start of any trip to the Cotswolds!
Newly listed Triang includes some small warships in varying conditions and some smart boxed items too. We have been trying hard to acquire some spare parts with which to respond to regular enquiries. No luck so far.
We’re also trying to get some US Navy decals so that people can rebadge the various Triang US ships. Any contacts and sources that you might have will be welcomed.
Future tasks are to list a selection of Triang stripped to the metal models and some full hulled ships from the Atlas range.
From Mountford there is a new series called XAS made entirely from metal. May 2018 will bring two new releases: XAS001 – RFA Argus A135 (c2017, £64.95) and XAS002 – HMS Ocean (c2016, £69.95). RFA Sir Galahad L3005 is the next one in the series but no date yet.
We have oodles and oodles of used breakwater straights so anyone interested in a bulk order please let us know. We’re happy to provide them at the cost of postage!
In the meantime we shall continue to find stuff, photo and list it as fast as we can.
Yours in ships, toys and all,
Clive and Dave.
