Just mooching about the internet and looking up some submarine history and I stumbled over this report. 78 year old Belgian diver reckons he has found about 7 submarine wrecks from WW2.

Mr Misson used his specialised equipment to measure the size and shape of the wrecks to help aid identification before comparing the results to vessels who failed to return from patrol in the area.

He said he thinks the missing vessels are HMS Talisman, Tigris, Turbulent, Utmost, Usurper as well as P48 and P222.

Looking at the damage, he suspects the vessels had been sunk after striking mines.

The amateur diver said he reported his findings to Tunisian, Italian and British authorities.
